Flora and Fauna

This series gathers landscapes and studies of the natural world. Certain works return to beloved locations, places that have marked my family’s history with wonder or refuge. The paintings hold not only the terrain itself, but its mood and memory.

Other works draw from early encounters with natural history collections. Through careful observation of specimens and classification systems, I began to consider how we name, preserve, and interpret the living world — questions that ultimately informed my MFA thesis, Still Life and Death at Harvard.
